Largest Capital Investment in Goodyear's History
Ball Metal Beverage Container Corp. purchased 29 acres located in PV303 at the northeast corner of W. Montecito Avenue and N. Cotton Lane in Goodyear, Arizona. Ball has constructed approx. a 500,000-square-foot building investing $240 million in capital expenditures and creating 130 jobs for the city with an average annual wage of $63,000 per year. From this facility, Ball will be producing Billions of customized aluminum cans annually for the beer and beverage industry.
Ball Corporation’s state-of-the-art packaging plant has had their first test production run in its Goodyear facility and is estimated to be fully operational by the end of 2018. The project is the largest first phase investment in the city of Goodyear’s history and is the first new plant built in the US by Ball since the 1980’s.They also have plans of expanding the facility in the near future to include a 169,000-square-foot warehouse located directly east of the current building.
