Fall 2019 series of ASU Startup School complete

Twenty‐seven entrepreneurs completed the Fall 2019 series of ASU Startup School.  Those in attendance at the final class on Saturday, November 16 were thrilled to be greeted by Councilmember Hampton, who thanked them for their participation and congratulated them on their entrepreneurial efforts.

Alysyia Tarin, pictured second from left, launched her home‐based business, Ugly Duckling Bakery, while participating in startup school. Alysyia, a Goodyear resident, is also an electrical engineer at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station. Most of the other class members are either already operating an existing business, or are looking to launch in the near future.

This is the 10th series of ASU Startup School offered at The InnovationHub @ GoodyearAZ, and the 7th consecutive series facilitated by Goodyear Economic Development team member Darah Mann. Startup School is offered free of charge through The InnovationHub @ GoodyearAZ at the Goodyear branch library, and to‐date, Startup School alum have launched a total of 24 new businesses during or following completion of the program. The next series of startup school will begin Saturday, January 25, 2020, and registrations are currently being accepted online at:
